Not So Secret Show – Moodswings

T’was one of the ‘sweetest’ events created with Brgy. Donuts and Honeydrop. Honeydrop pre-launched the official music video of their song “Mood Swings” while BRGY. Donuts conducted a tasting of the unique recipe, featured in the music video, which was also inspired by the same song. We were also lucky to listen to Hey, It’s Your Birthday and witness one of the earlier performances of Mandaue Nights. It was an memorable gathering organised as our send-off to Backbone’s good friend, Mona Alcudia, who was awarded a 2-year Masters’ grant to Design Academy Eindhoven.

Creators market

As our studio’s way of contribution, The Backbone Company went on event stylist mode for the Creator’s Market in Crisscrossings: A Creative Convergence Fair 2018 held last January in Crossroads Mall, Banilad, Cebu City.

The Creator’s Market was made to celebrate the local maker culture in Cebu. Among the core team responsible for the success of the market were Sugbo Mercado, Create Cebu, Crossroads Cebu and European Chamber of Commerce.

This was when the Easy Afternoon Fellas decided to install their first “Commorancy”, a laid-back Sunday afternoon gathering with coffee artisans, mixologists, and music enthusiasts. We took advantage of the crowd and sourced for input and collection name suggestions for CARGA as we were developing the line. The place was decked with amazing people and great conversations over our drink of choice.
